The Pill for your Hangover

You had a big day planned. But Dave the morning killer found you last night and drug you on an adventure. Today you’ve developed a deep hatred for walking all the way to the other couch to grab the remote. What would help this? A hangover pill, but you don’t have one. Whether the commercials are a pain in the rear or a brief moment of relief depends on your tastes. Is this why they play low-budget shows during the day? Just to spite you?

Apparently your friends are mad at you. And, quite frankly, you don’t want to know why. In fact, you may be better blocking her number outright so she doesn’t tell you. Maybe you can eventually forget about it altogether. After all, alcohol and escapism go hand in hand, right? You’re just using a product according to its directions. That’s right. Just turn off the phone and forget about it.

What hangover supplement should you try?

The best hangover supplement is going to have milk thistle. Just check out this about milk thistle.

Milk thistle seeds contain a bioflavonoid complex known as hangover supplementSilymarin which is the active ingredient. The purified extract of the fruit is what is used in supplements. Studies have looked at the effect of milk thistle on toxic liver damage (mostly alcohol-related) and many other uses. It is concluded that milk thistle is a very useful medicinal plant product that stabilizes the cell membrane and stimulates protein synthesis while accelerating the process of regeneration in damaged liver tissue.

Other studies show that milk thistle may protect the cells of the liver by blocking the entrance of harmful toxins and helping remove these toxins from liver cells. Like many flavonoids, milk thistle is a potent antioxidant which works to maintain health and energy by protecting the body from damage caused by free radicals and lipid peroxidation, which can injure healthy cells and tissues.

Bloody Mary as a healthy drink?

“Problem drinking” is a bit of an oxymoron, isn’t it? After all, everybody knows that drinking solves problems. But what about healthy bloody marymaking some good decisions and choosing some healthy alcoholic drinks the next time you are out.

As such, it only seems suiting to haul your rear into the kitchen and start solving as many problems as you can. Some say you’re merely pushing the hangover off until later, but we both know you’re not a quitter.

So a bloody mary? Can you make that a healthy drink? Well tomato juice could be considered kinda healthy, even better would be V8. It is loaded with vitamins but also loaded with sodium.  Vodka is not the best choice, but for alcohol it is one of the cleanest options you can have.

Really your best bet is in the toppings, celery, lime, olives, any type of veggie you can throw in. Maybe even an extra celery.
